Our Writers
Joytri Mahalanabis
Hey there! I'm Joytri Mahalanabis, the Founder, Climate Writer and Editor-in-Chief of The Economic Perspective. I founded this publication at 16 to make Economic theory in the practical world more engaging and comprehensible to younger readers. On our page, you'll find a diaspora of articles ranging from current events, climate catastrophes and space exploration, to even pop culture events like the Met Gala, Grammys or the most recently trending TV show - each with a thread of economic theory stitched in of course!
Originally from India, I am currently studying towards a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Economics in Sweden. When I'm not busy with coursework you'll find me volunteering across the world at various climate conservation efforts and educational camps. I love to travel, try new foods and read about Greek mythology in my spare time!
